Scent of Mediterranean scrub and sound of the sea, do you need anything else to be happy? Two elements that in themselves could make a discreetly perfect itinerary. Then, if you are on the Amalfi Coast and you are in the part not yet totally engulfed by mass tourism, perhaps yes, you can call yourself truly happy. Well, even places as well known as the Amalfi and Sorrento Coasts hide places, flavors and glimpses that are still little explored. From the lemon that perfumes the air to a pasta dish that tastes of the sea, it is once again Teritoria which has managed to create an unusual route, in the most positive sense of the word, on this stretch of the Tyrrhenian coast between the provinces of Salerno and Naples. The project chaired by Alain Ducasse after all, this is exactly what it has been doing for a good 50 years (just this year round figure); it has always brought together restaurateurs, hoteliers who share the same mission: to invent tourism that makes people love the world. But above all, the main goal, as in this case, is to show the true authenticity of a place.

BACCO FURORE
Wrath, with its name able to evoke passionate feelings, is a corner of paradise that has nothing to envy to the most famous destinations in these areas, with its fjord capable of creating the perfect setting for special souvenir photos and swimming in beaches almost unobtainable elsewhere. Our tour to discover a more authentic Coast starts from this very village. More precisely from Bacchus Wrath, a hotel with a long history, which has been welcoming its, many loyal, guests since 1930. Situated among the tranquil hills of Furore, the hotel overlooks the sea and offers views that are difficult to describe in words, and which, I assure you, leave you truly breathless for once.

Managed by the family Ferraioli for generations, Bacchus Wrath has been awarded for four consecutive years with the Tripadvisor Traveler's Choice, an award that emphasizes the quality of service and experience offered. The structure is famous for its double development; in fact, it is both a diffuse hotel and a painted hotel. The restaurant lives up to the place and its beauty, offering freshness in accordance with the territory; even the terrace offers one of the best views of the Coast, just right for having a coffee and listening to the stories of Fernando, the expert Italo-Argentine loyal collaborator of the family since forever. The rooms, carefully distributed even in the village in the case of the albergo diffuso, preserve the authenticity of the place, offering guests a quiet place to put themselves in airplane mode for once.

The restaurant's cuisine has been guided over time by Erminia Cuomo, the mother, who with passion and expertise has always brought the traditional flavors of the Coast to the table. Now her task is mainly to supervise the work of the whole team after so many years behind the stove. A true innkeeper who reminds us how in hospitality it all starts with empathy and the ability to know how to welcome each customer. Each dish tells the story of fresh, local, carefully selected ingredients, such as lemons from the area, squid from Furore and pasta filata cheeses from Agerola. The famous town, in fact, which we always find mentioned on every pizzeria menu, is located just above Furore among the Monti Lattari. Precisely because they work closely with the territory here, guided tours are available upon request to discover the work behind the creation of Agerola's dairy products. An experience that fully immerses you in the work and synergies that are created in the area. A milk experience To be done, for example, with the company The castle farm. Finally, the hotel's wine cellar offers selected wines that pair delicately with the dishes, this thanks to the undisputed quality of what is within walking distance of Bacchus Wrath. Prestigious labels such as the Fiorduva by Marisa Cuomo (the famous winery only a dozen meters from the hotel), Italy's best white wine in 2014, and the Furore DOC, are just a few of the labels that can introduce you to the wine flavors of the area to the fullest extent.
