The route is short but intense.
It starts from the contrada of S. Elia in Furore, on the Amalfi Coast, and proceeds 500 meters in altitude. A bronze depicting two lovers opens the path. Here the pace becomes intense also because it is absolutely obligatory to do it in two and with your loved one.
At the beginning, one immediately encounters some majolica tiles with phrases that invite one to reflect on love for life, for a loved one, and for nature. The reflections silence the lovers and transport them to a moment of introspection where memories are kindled and promises are confirmed.
Phrases of Loves tormented like storms or accompanied by "trembling cicadas' creaks," Loves compared to the blue sea with the energy of the Coast's sun, Love as the only reason for life.
The more they read, the more the lovers clasp their hands tightly and hold on to each other's waists. They exchange a kiss, pause to read the last majolica with the sensations of the landscape, the scents and the sound of the beautiful words suggested by that mood. The majolica tiles on the final knoll, in the middle of a very scenic plot, invite reflection on the kind of Love one feels and experiences. How to get there: the most convenient route starts in S.Elia from the Amalfi-Agerola road detour. But, if you want to make better sense of the walk, it starts from Fiordo di Furore, the magical fishing village on the Amalfi Coast. To reach S.Elia you take the long staircase that climbs up the mountain and, after about 30 minutes, you reach the starting point. Training in so many stairs is essential, but you can certainly measure yourself against an effort that was customary daily until 50 years ago. If you walk to the Love Walk from the fjord and return smiling as before you will love yourself more. Promise!
