The prize is awarded on the basis of authoritative evaluations by the well-known journalist and food and wine critic Luciano Pignataro: there is also a technical component of the jury, which contemplates the presence of a variety of wine producers from southern Italian regions.
Bacco Furore has chosen to dedicate this award to the memory of Raffaele Ferraioli, husband of Mrs. Erminia, former mayor of Furore and regional coordinator of the wine cities and promoter of the wine DOC on the Amalfi Coast.
