Vesuvius is the symbol of Naples, the most visited hiking destination each year and one of the largest active volcanoes in the world.
The imposing volcanic mountain, which dominates the Gulf and the city from above, can be reached up to an altitude of 1,000 meters. The visit to the crater then continues on foot with licensed mountain guides.
