Paestum is one of the most important archaeological sites in Italy. Here was born in the 7th century B.C. the Greek city called "Poseidones "which became a rich and important commercial center. At this archaeological site you can visit the Temple of Poseidon and the 6th-century Basilica (actually a temple dedicated to Hera, the main deity of Paestum) and the small museum where you can admire, among other findings, the famous Tomb of the Diver.
